The Brew Room

Tea and cake in the Brew Room at Eight Acres
“There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea.” — Henry James

The Brew Room was imagined as the place our community comes together to chat and laugh. Stories to share.  A kettle on. Pull up a pew, whilst you treat yourself to some yummy homemade cakes and biscuits baked in the farmhouse kitchen.

The Story Behind the Cup

From white teas to matcha we hope you discover something new today.

From over 50 types and tastes to try from all over the world. Teabags to loose tea sipped in china cups to porcelain or mugs we have it all here and look forward to welcoming you.

Each tea comes with a tea card to tell you all about how that tea was grown and produced and what makes it so unique both in texture, flavour and story.

If you find yourself even more curious about plantations, processing, trade routes or how tea became such a beloved part of everyday life, you can continue the story in our Tea Discover Room

The Tea Discover Room forms part of the wider Discovery Barn  and explores tea’s journey across continents, its role in trade and industry, and why a humble cuppa has meant so much for so many generations. You might also be amazed to learn about tea etiquette, the life of the tea trolley and a tea chest or two. Both the Tea Discover Room and the Discovery Barn are a bookable experience.

Book a space in the Discover barn as part of your visit.
